Who Is Eligible?
Enrolled in Part A & Part B
You must have both Medicare Part A and Part B to enroll in most plans.
Live in the Plan's Service Area
Plan availability depends on your ZIP code and county.
U.S. Citizen or Lawfully Present
You must be a citizen or lawfully present in the United States.
Enrollment Periods
Annual Enrollment Period (AEP)
October 15 – December 7 — Enroll in, switch, or drop a Medicare Advantage or Part D plan. Coverage begins January 1.
Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period
January 1 – March 31 — If you are already in a Medicare Advantage plan, you can switch plans or return to Original Medicare.
Special Enrollment Period (SEP)
Conditional — Qualify for an SEP after certain life events such as moving or losing other coverage.
